Hello. I've Windows 10 Insider Preview 14279 but it has several bugs that affects me. I'd would like to remove it. I've tried to install Windows 10 (the regular version) but it doesn't offer me the option to keep all my apps and personal settings. How can I force it to keep everything and just upgrade? Both are the Professional and x64 version. I don't have the backup folder anymore. regards.
The only thing that should work is moving back to previous OS through settings ! Or you have to alter the registry to trick the setup that you are on an earlier build

@endbase please tell me whether I only need to modify the currentbuild and currentbuildnumber keys or something else? I've just checked that changing that number doesn't allow me to install the regular version of Windows 10.
What about Easeus PCTrans, Zinstall or CloneApp? Will I be able to use to easily transfer my apps and personal data to a new Windows?
It is easy to upgrade/downgrade SKUs between same BUILD. As to upgrade BUILDs, the answer is YES. As to downgrade BUILDs? No, Windows never allows it. Unless ...
No it is complicated I have tried it many times but I could not figure it out myself. My thoughts is that the setup checks the version @ registry but also checkes some files on your system ! If so then this is leading to no where
Hello. I found a not-to-bad solution. I read that PCTrans and ZInstall were able to migrate your programs to a different computer and decided to try the first one. I made a backup with PCTrans and installed the new Windows and finally installed all applications with the program. Office 2016 and Acrobat don't work but most other applications do. Thanks
I have tried this and failed every time. The only real way is with a clean install. It is not worth the hassle for me. When the next major upgrade comes along in June, I will jump off the previews then.
