at the minute i have a packard bell pc. this is the motherboard inside in1t1gnrkbx 2gb ddr 333 05-51-93 of ram motherboard p55800-vm\s can any1 recommend a motherboard pack or just the board. i want to leave it in packard bell case.so will i have to buy psu.not sure what im buying so just need advics plus im putting a 1tb seagate sata hd in it any advice please.
the only 1 so far i can see a motherboard for a packard case is this MAINBOARD GATEWAY NV51/PACKARDBELL ENTH36 INTEL GL40 ICH9M V2.0 LF WITH ALL CONNECTORS ; COMPAL MB#LA_4855(VER. 1.0)
By the size of the case your fitting it into... ATX or mATX *Some larger cases fit either sized board What's the psu your using now? I'm sure it would power the board but whether or not it'll be sufficient for your new hardware is another thing.
the psu thats in there now is atx base 400w it as sata connections plus i'm unsure why you say (whether or not it'll be sufficient for your new hardware is another thing) i dont understand what you mean there so what do i do measure the board or tower the boards old now.
for instance, some older psu's don't have pcie connectors but deppending on the graphics card you don't need it. check newegg or tigerdirect for a barebones kit, you're probably better off with that unless you have a facination with your tower
