Request a SLP 1.0 for a modded GA-G31M-S2L

    Thanx for the link,but how can i install and activate a genuine xp pro ,and which version should i install please guide ,I have flashed the dell mod now i am ready. .:confused:

    You seriously need to read the posts in the top few threads, there is all the info you need. Install whichever version you like...

    i compiled one oem cd but when installing it asks for cd key i supplied the dell xp pro key but it refuses as ,i have dell slp i inserted dell keys so what to do next,please help....

    You need to make sure the setupp.ini pid is *****OEM. If it is VLK or Retail it will not accept the key.

    If it is SP3 do not enter key, it is not necessary.

    If you change the Setupp.ini, you can then make a .sif file to avoid the key input.

    I created a pro oem slp cd with vlk pro sp3 cd from sticky thread ,how do i know that my xp is now genuine and ready for accepting updates i am confused,i can not see any slp 1.0 tab in rw everything is it normal please response...:confused:


    Now machine restarts in welcome screen please help....in xp..But boots nice in safe mode.

    Yes i have inserted oembios file in to the disk , but the link you gave , had two differen DELLOEMBIOS which one to use 1.DellQ_87870F5A 2.Dell_B6F0EEFD
    and why does my pc restarts during boot in welcome screen.

    Probably 2 and I dont know why it reboots, unless it throws an error about cant activate correctly.

    What did you do, there are thousands of reasons the OS will reboot..If you used a vlk install and a oem serial, it will not allow you into the OS..

    You're missing those files in I386:


    SETUP.INI (example for Asus):
    WINNT.SIF (example for Asus):

    Without them your XP is still a VLK and won't let you pass the welcome screen.
