[Request] How to create a x64 setup executable in a pre-built Win 8 AIO

    As said in the title, I was wondering if there was a way to create a x64 setup executable in a pre-bult Win 8 AIO (containing both x32 x64). I am also aware that the maker of the AIO used x32 to increase compatibility between x64 and x32 computers. So if any of you on the forums know how a solution to my question please post it here.

    I guess you have the x64 iso,so just extract it then copy the install.wim from the source folder of the AIO in to the source folder of x64 setup, and also replace the ei.cfg,you are good to go

    I did a little poking around and didn't really find what I was looking for... basically tutorials on how to add x64 setup compatibility to the prebuilt win 8 AIO

    Do you want to run setup from Windows to perform an upgrade or a clean install if you have 64 bit installed? I think I'm getting what your asking.

    If you know how to edit the iso, go to sources\ and look for setup.exe. Delete the setup.exe file on the root of your ISO and make a short cut from the setup.exe in your sources\ folder. It will ignore the compatibility check.

    I feel slow now after re-reading this. You want to launch the 64 bit setup.exe. I know for Windows 7, JoshCell made his WinAIO utility have this feature with a 64 bit source folder within the setup image. There is no known method for what you want as of right now but you can try launching setup.exe file from \sources\ folder.

    Guess I will have to stick to launching /source/setup.exe until Josh updates his WinAIO Maker o_O

    I find it much simpler to have a multi-boot usb winpe key. 32bit & 64bit wims.
    This way I can install anything in bios & uefi mode as well. You can point to unattend files too.
    ie,
    if %processor_architecture% == AMD64 \Windows8.x64\setup /unattend:%PTH%Files\Unattend-BIOS.xml
    if %processor_architecture% == x86 \Windows8.x86\setup /unattend:%PTH%Files\Unattend-BIOS.xml

    Could u guys please upload x64 setup.exe ,so that i can integrate into my aio.My problem is that i cant refresh my windows 8 media center (upgraded from pro) it says it cannot be done from this installation (aio pendrive) ( not exact wording).i dont have any x64 iso to rip x64 setup and i dont want to download whole iso for just an setup file (i have limited bandwdth : take 2 days to download).

    To refresh prowmc installation prowmc image is not required only pro image will work fine. officially prowmc image is not available..

    yes you are correct, just did few test. as a mater of fact even a core image is enough.
