    of topic
I have a very good abstract ( sorry it is in german - try to use google translator )
win95 was one of my early OS i use (i am an oldy ;) )

    Code:
    Windows 95/98 - Versions-Info

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion

    OEM Service Release 1 ("A-Version"):4.00.950 a

"4.00.1111" an, Norton System Info gibt "4.0 Build 1212b" an.)

    OEM Service Release 2.5 C ("C-Version"):4.03.1214 c

thats why all the web is full of confused and- or wrong infos (more or less)

    EDIT:
    win98 is similar confused

This is homebrew, especially with CDIMAGE 2.47 and been bootable.

    There is another point.

Some people, like me, are not collectors.

Just got myself into old Windows/games stuff, that is why I'm asking for specific PT-BR ISOs ...

But I'm not looking for every single edition of Windows, just OEM and/or Retail.

Don't care about betas and so on.

Nice work with your repository, johnye_pt!

    @draken
first off all thanks that you find the thanks button (after i use the hammer)
yes i know, i am the bad boy

can you give me a reason why you dont make Mirror for the files you take /get ?
You do not have to upload all (2 or 3 would be enough)

do you ever think about what happen if the repro from johnye_pt is going down ?

credits going to johnye_pt only for his mirror and not for the files
most of the files are from
Threat, OZ, LostED, GezoeSlog and all the other Collectors
the biggest credits going to them

I know it's not original because of the bootable option and cdimage version, in that point of view it's homebrew. But were the 2 different files manually added/modified, or is the content faithful to the original ISO/CD? I'll try to ask the user that posted the original links back in 2009 (last activity October 2016) if he can tell me its SHA1/CRC/size, or even better, share!

There is only 1 original 95 (v4.0.950) upgrade (the 'retail' also 'msdn' shipment) and one full install - the OEM build.

The june one you list in one of your earlier posts is a RC, not the RTM.

The modded one you posted was edited by whoever created it.

My last reply regarding this 'sharing discussion'.

I do know and use the Thanks button, buddy.

The reason I didn't mirror any of these files is that I didn't download anything from Threat or johnye_pt.

    Just checked it out.

Not to be ungrateful, but like I've said I'm not a collector.

But I can and will mirror all his files anyway, maybe some day some collector may be kind enough to help me with my specific needed ISOs.

I believe I found a COMPANION ISO for EN_WIN95A_951_SP1.ISO, similar to the one for EN_WIN95B_1111.ISO but has extra padding. Here's what I got so far:

    Code:
    2B822199BED7BD59BC19E9665FFEB92E3D0AD318EN_WIN95B_1111_OEM.ISO (cdimage 2.12, timestamp 24-08-1996 11:11:11)
    BB8E8217B05C35F1A0998A8CC44C24F674BFB6A0EN_WIN95B_1111_COMPANION_OEM.ISO (cdimage 2.12, timestamp 24-08-1996 11:11:10)
    differences to 1st ISO: missing SETUP.EXE, \ADMIN\MKCWRT.EXE, \ADMIN\NETTOOLS\FAC, WIN95\DOSSETUP.BIN, WIN95\OEMSETUP.BIN, WIN95\OEMSETUP.EXE, WIN95\SETUP.EXE, WIN95\SETUP.TXT, WIN95\SUHELPER.BIN, WIN95\WINSETUP.BIN

    Code:
9F28E89AEC4DD694F1BB782CA0EC949987902139EN_WIN95A_951_SP1.ISO (cdimage unknown, timestamp 14-05-1996 15:59:33 and others)
(unknown SHA1 for now due to extra padding)EN_WIN95A_951_SP1_COMPANION.ISO (cdimage 2.11, timestamp 17-01-1996 17:11:23 and others)
    differences to 1st ISO: missing DRIVERS\AUDIO\SNDSCP95, \DRIVERS\DISPLAY\CT95+MATROX95+TRIO64V, \DRIVERS\MISC\DESTINA+KEYBOARD+REGFILES, \WIN95\DOSSETUP.BIN, \WIN95\OEMSETUP.BIN, \WIN95\OEMSETUP.EXE, \WIN95\SETUP.EXE, \WIN95\SUHELPER.BIN, \WIN95\WINSETUP.BIN

What program do you guys use (on Windows 10) to rip a CD without extra padding? I usually use ImgBurn which adds empty bytes to the end of the ISO.

UltraISO - there is some screenshots posted about this somewhere (if the thread did not get lost)

    Without padding:

    Code:
      File: CDCOMP.iso
    CRC-32: 5f4981df
       MD4: 24e096493b2d0c41e87bc1af200fc17e
       MD5: a095a72dbabfbd3415f551e329508c03
     SHA-1: e291f64566e128f71722b019821ec72428d49c03
    Size: 603,822,080 bytes

afaik inside Ultraiso - you must enable a filter to avoid Padding
i use HXd Editor and open the iso withe 2048 byte option to see the sector boundery and
    - analyse the iso header
    - remove padding 00

It was actually easier than I thought. I mounted the ccd+img+sub in Alcohol 52%, opened UltraISO, Tools -> Make CD/DVD Image, uncheck "Skip Bad Sectors" (useful if it was a real CD), check "Enable ISO Volume Filter", select ISO as output format, select output filename and click on Make. Final ISO is 307200 bytes (300kb) smaller than the one created with ImgBurn, but otherwise identical in content if comparing both on HxD Hex Editor.
    Code:
    E291F64566E128F71722B019821EC72428D49C035F4981DF603.822.080EN_WIN95A_951_SP1_COMPANION_OEM.ISO17/01/1996 16:00:00, cdimage 2.11
I just recreated all SVFs under slightly different names and reuploaded them all, along with scans of the cds (when available), and also a text file with information about the ISOs. Let me know if I missed something ;)

the Q is not how to create
the Q is how to remake / identify a ORIGINAL Boot Flopy (apart from the serial number of the floppy boot sector)

i have only a Original German Boot Floppy (from my old Original CD+floppy set)
the floppy is untouched (i always use'd a image copy)
by default a all flopys you found are 'used' floppys (Image-structure is inconsistent / fragmented because of temp files during the floppy use)

    files:
    Code:
    AUTOEXEC.BAT
    COMMAND.COM
    CONFIG.SYS
    COUNTRY.SYS
    DISPLAY.SYS
    DRVCOPY.INF
    EGA.CPI
    EGA2.CPI
    EGA3.CPI
    FDISK.EXE
    HIMEM.SYS
    IO.SYS
    KEYB.COM
    KEYBOARD.SYS
    KEYBRD2.SYS
    MODE.COM
    MSCDEX.EXE
    MSDOS.SYS
