You can install Windows 7 retail versions with no key and you have 30 days to try the app.

If you would like to extend this time for 120 days, Microsoft generously and legally allow you to do this by resetting the W7 timer back to 30 days.. up to 3 more times. (Total free use 120days)

    Do this:

To extend the grace period another 30 days, simply start a command prompt as Administrator, and issue this command:

    slmgr -rearm

    -------------------------------------------------

Now... what is not widely known is this next trick for 7

If you want to continue using 7 for free (compliments of MS).. you simply change this reg key and you can continue to rearm for a fresh 30 days continuously!

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform]
    "SkipRearm"=dword:00000001

After your 3rd reset this key will be 00000000 - simply change it as above to 00000001 -- now you can rearm again! Just keep doing this as long as you like

I believe it's correct until the "long as you like part." I've read in multiple places that with SkipRearm, whether you're talking Vista or Win7, you end up with between 7-9 rearms before it just doesn't work anymore, which is somewhat less than unlimited.

Does anyone know where the number of rearms left is stored? Cause I've 3 left and the registryvalue is 0, so there must be another place where windows keeps that.
Maybe you can set as many rearms left as you want than.
And are you shure about the 7 or 9 limit? I just rearmed my dutch ultimate in vmware for the 10th time

I just googled it and from how it's discribed there it looks indeed insane.
A disassembler gives you a bunch of code which isn't necessarily always correct, than you have t find what you're looking for in a buch of code that looks like... just a bunch of code

OK I'll ask him, I know he has 4 rearms but why would he disassemble files to find it and afterall don't make a crack with it? I mean, you're not going to disassemble files just cause you want 4 rearms instead of 3, so I think it must be easyer than disassembling files.

And I don't know how the infinity frace period cracks worked, but I guess they are disabled now?
This trick works now for 15 rearms, no nags etc, passes wat. But can you download all available updates in grace period?

There's a "Loader which can't be named", a comprehensive toolkit, which offers the ability to reset the number of rearms. It takes a couple reboots.

As well with enterprise and professiona,l Windows will increase rearms from 0 to 1 if you successfully activate with KMS.

I think he used Windows 7 Loader eXtreme v3.118 because as of now I haven't seen anyone else make a program to reset rearms. But, if he did it manually some other way then good for him.

I have used this program to reset 4 rearms on my laptop and desktop computer, but as I have said before this program is not supported by this site anymore. He said he used cmd.exe and deleted some files to reset the rearms, but I would like to know how he did it if it really was that simple.

Simply, to check how many rearms you have left use cmd.exe and type in "slmgr -dlv" without the brackets and press enter.
