Insider builds can be permanently activated. Why use KMS activation? Just switch to HWID activation. KMS_VL_ALL creates scheduled tasks to reactivate every time you logon. Perhaps you disabled them? You could simply rerun it.
What's HWID activation? I don't have a license linked to my BIOS I've already tried to reinstall KMS_VL_ALL, the scheduled tasks are well activated, the software confirms that my Windows is activated, but I keep having messages appearing (I'll send a screenshot next time it appears)
Insider builds have a time bomb in the kernel so they can't be used forever. This expiry mechanism has nothing to do with activation, however. Older Insider builds have time bomb set to 2018-12-14 and are already expired. So, you need to upgrade to a recent Insider build where MS has moved the expiry date into the future.
Oh duh, somehow I overlooked the 14/12 so yeah he's using an outdated insider build. Updating to the latest insider build should sort him out. s1ave77 has a blog that might interest you. I forget what the url is but if you google s1ave77+blog you should find it no problem.
Just to clarify, that task is not for the activation but to correct an issue if renewal interval is changed. original windows task gets disabled, that's why activator creates the same task for proper working. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-the-fly-kms-server.50949/page-38#post-863637
I'll try to update to 18290 and see if my problem keeps happening Edit: Just updated and don't have this problem anymore, thought it was due to activation but this was just that Windows Update didn't propose me to update to the last Insider version since weeks, thanks to all for your help!
