W8, not W8.1. Yes, a cleaned up W8 image or an assembled WES8, is a bit less resource intensive, but for sure are way faster in boot time and other tasks, just like a standard W8 has a faster boot time than a standard W7. I believe that in part is due to the fact W8 is somewhat unfinished, and many W7 UI elements were removed from W8 but not replaced by something else until W8.1/W10
I am curious what do you mean by "assembled" please? Is it a customized WES8? If Yes, then what is your recommendation for this?
Assembled, built, whatever you call the process to get the final image. It's the only way. There isn't a precooked image, there isn't any "ThinPC 8".
Is there a significant performance difference between Embedded 8 (8.0) Industry Enterprise and Embedded 8 (8.0) Industry Pro? Torrent is not seeding by the way. Any chance to get this image reuploaded thx.
It depends on what you add to WES8, if you add enough to get the same functionality the performance would be exactly the same as Industry Enterprise, which in turn is almost identical to W8 enterprise with appx removed. (only few filters and lock-down packages are present in Industry E and not on Enterprise)
Truth be told brother, it is everything that Windows 7 was and some more. NO matter how much crap I strip from Windows 10, it doesn't comes close to 8. After being on the right track until that moment, Microsoft has gone complete retard. How corporations change......
