W8 has two options: refresh and restore. I know that refresh will keep WMC and activation intact but what about restore, will it remove WMC and activation or is it permanent?
My system is KMS + WMC upgrade so will like to keep the activation and WMC as long as it works.

By Restore you mean the other option to "Remove everything and reinstall Windows".

I know when you perform the above option (the one in the quotes).
After it gets done doing the reinstall you'll need to re put it your product key and activate.

I've done it and I had to reactivate and re add WMC.

I will say if you activated with a WMC Key by using the loop hole left by MS, I think you will be f**ked over by that option.

EDIT: And I didn't have a problem doing the option since I have a Legit Windows 8 Pro :p

I cannot confirm what you said about the restore procedure. I did it with an activated 8pro system and after facing a totally new setup without any previously installed software, I was still activated. The only difference is, that I had no WMC installed.

Both Refresh and Reset will preserve your activation...

Activation of Pro via KMS or activation of added WMC?

I tested refresh and it went ok but never tested full reset.
