Under Settings, Apps & Features, Manage Optional Features I see "English (United States) Retail Demo Content" 104MB and "Neutral Retail Demo Content" 20.6MB. I suspect this is the stuff you see running on the display machines in a store. How to do anything with this content? For example, I'd like to setup a Windows 10 machine in my company's training room where people can see the demo content loop. Preferably without making the machine unusable for normal purposes. Anybody who works in retail and knows how this stuff is setup?
Thanks, exactly what I was looking for, I guess. Seems kind of dangerous. Don't ever leave your machine unlocked in case there is a practical joker sneaking around. Note: Doesn't actually seem to do anything on 10565 Insider Preview. But it works as described on a "normal" machine.
I was thinking the exact same thing, you could ruin someone's life with 5 & 1 clicks, but saying that, you could also with the 'Reset this PC' option
I can ruin someones life without ever even opening windows, so I don't think this is a big deal inside windows or something that anyone needs to worry about if they have a password.
Ruin someones life Tad bit dramatic and if it were to happen it would be that persons fault for having no password and leaving their system unattended. Ruin someones life WOW
Well, ring IT, they will restore your machine in minutes. All data is stored on servers anyway, backed up 3 times by network admin to 3 different locations. Mail is in the Cloud. So no much that can be destroyed...
When running Disk Cleanup, Cleanup System Files, an option to remove Retail Demo Content appears (I was never asked for a password). But even after deleting it, doing 5 clicks pops up that box.
