I have a Toshiba satellite C655-S5061 laptop, upgraded from w7 oem home premium (default factory os) to w7 ultimate and used daz loader. Is it possible to get the original serial and toshiba cert. of windows 7 home prem. oem os from recovery partition or is there another way to get the job done?
Yea, you have to mount the recoverypartition first.. Why you would need the "originals" from the recoverypartition when you have it installed from windows loader i dont know : P 1 toshiba cert goes for all with slic 2.1.
@FreeStyler Hmm.. that would be the easy way, but can I get at least the serial for default factory os without restoring to factory defaults. @tcntad I am new to bios related stuff....if you are saying that 1 cert. works for all toshiba laptops... then all that is needed is to get any toshiba cert. + serial to do bios modding right...?
Yea by checking the windws 7 oem:slp key collection in this subforum. yea, well there seems to be 5 of them. tosa, tosc, toshiba, tosi & tosq. Not sure about the difference but the one windows loader installs is the correct one and it also uses correct key if possible. To biosmod you need abit more than that. First the bios and than you need to mod it using the slic 2.1 bin and the proper tool of course. Alot more info in the bios section.
But i do not think he needs a bios MOD because he said his system came pre-activated with w7 home premium, meaning his bios already would have 2.1 SLIC bios.
