since this release, my rig is seen as a telephone by wua, can this be corrected ? updted: My system works fine in all aspects, it's sheer curiosity on my side
Are you sure, you didn't install the Mobile version of Windows?? Or did you'd some MS Phone software installed if that was come from WU??
I have the correct 14379 "sedentary" PC version installed, all menus, items are ok excepted this funny wua error.
As MrMagic said: A Screenshot would say maybe more?! If the computer's OS is 'seen' as a Phone, there must be something installed which show that machine as Mobile Device, and that's pronounced as Phone, like Tablet computer with built-in Phone module, which is also pronounced Phone instead Tablet!
cough, cough, can you make phone calls with computer? I would hurry up/make backup copy/ call lawyer/ sue MS for messing up company/computer
My apologies in advance, but this is the funniest AND saddest Windows 10 issue I've seen on this board. "My computer thinks it's a phone!"
It's also one of the saddest issue descriptions, because it tells us basically nothing about what this "wua error" is about. Good luck getting help that way, OP.
Well, I guess you don't have to worry about your telephone being up to date Did you install any dodgy telemetry blocks? Are you connected via 3/4G ? Got the metered data over WiFi enabled that might cause it to think you're on a phone?
Report it via the feedback app, and get on with the rest of your day, if it's not causing any problems, ignore it
