    Hello everyone.

I just want to know if there is a risk by using an older os. I still use vista ultimate x64 and have no issues. I absolutely hate win7 and win8/8.1. I know I need to upgrade, but they....well...they just suck to me. Is it safe to wait until MS makes another OS and keep using vista?

Depends mostly on the time you spend online, the sites you visit, the downloads you do, etc. and the security tools you use. The less you use the internet the lower the risk. :)

Having said that, generally speaking, the newer the OS the lower the risk.

...in short: It's really up to you. Nobody is forcing you to upgrade.

You will receive (Windows) updates up untill the 11th april 2017.

Btw, if you're still using IE9 I would advise to change browsers. (eg. Chrome).

7 always crashes with me (bsod everyday) and 8's UI aka metro is a major pain for me since I have nearly 100 programs. It would be ok if all I did was play games like angry birds

You don't have to upgrade if you don't want to, I'm still on XP and happy with it. :)

BTW I use both Vista and Win 7 at work, and I honestly prefer Win 7 over Vista. Sorry to hear about your difficulties with 7, hope it works out sometime soon!
