It would not only be time-bombed, but other registry/file/call-home methods would be used... Why do you ask? You want to use the RP forever?
I thought RTM launches early next month... Sorry a little slow on this. Anyways, how can I jump to RTM?
Format HDD and install RTM best mothod upgrading has issues and if you dont know how to partition a hdd and back up data then u really shouldnt be testing os's
I'd rather use it "forever"! I don't like the non-aero-theme of the official RTM- and futurebuilds. So it would be great if someone is able to remove the timbe bomb! I don't care for not able to import some Windows Updates, as this will be undoubtedly the implication of using the RP version furthermore. Is here somebody around who is capable and willing to compose such a time bomb, and to share it with us? I would be very grateful!
Still, it's a stupid idea. Nobody will care about anything other than RTM when it's out; no driver developers, software developers, or the people in the forums you'll be asking for help with your OS problems (also undoubtedly an implication of using the RP version furthermore).
c0080900v, just follow everyones advice and use the RTM when released. Everyone will be in the "same boat" as you, so there will be workarounds, dll hacks, reg hacks, 3rd party apps, loaders ( ? ), faqs, support, etc. @Stannieman, arrrrrr!
May I just add that I hate the new theme as well with each new build it just gets uglier (7989 anyone?) so I'd support the topicstarter here: either explain how to move over a visual style to an RTM, or help us keep the RP for longer
