this a retail or VL version? I need a VL version to test out virtualization of the application and the way they built Office 2010 it won't let you sequence the app unless it is a VL version.
this is a public beta release and according to MSDN / TECHNET it is Retail and VL aswell so you can proceed!
I could use a key aswell... But I have no problem using Office so far. So I guess it will hold for a week without a key.
well i have my own method that stops this activation crap, however i DONT want to use it, why would i use some half arsed solution if public beta keys will be avilable in day or two?
this is "singleimage" version, only for connect testers aka. you wont get public beta key, once office 2010 beta goes public.
Run Regedit Find the following registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office Software Protection Platform\Plugins\Objects\msft/algorithm/pkey/2005 Click on msftm/algorithm/pkey/2005 right click on ModuleId Click Modify Change the final digit from 8 to 7 Sequence should read like this: ba38975c-7786-44bc-b924-147c77920327 and your done. =) enjoy --From The Pirate Bay
this method sucks, been there done that, random cpu hogs (1 core goes to 100% usage for no reason, its not groundbreaking but it bothers me) when office trys to activate it self every min or two. Better way is to remove OPP all together. But like i said why use this if KEYS WILL BE AVILABLE FOR EACH AND EVERYONE?! you have 30 days to activate... i think if you activate with 27 days left you will be fine, or i might be very bad in math.
