Hey I am no expert on this but if you think about it, that build MAY be RTM.

It was compiled earlier that day but we all know it takes more than one day for them to run the battery of tests they do on each potential rtm to make sure it holds up.

Saying that build isnt the RTM for that single post (that day) is not an entirely accurate way to judge it.

Now, like I said I am no insider on this and do not claim to know anything special but just pointing out that being compiled that same day as the post does not rule out "that" exact build as RTM.

I fully agree, that's why I've said 'according to Microsoft' ;)
Btw: Vista RTM was 16386, right? :D

As of now, build 16385 doesn't pass voting successfully. Yesterday (July 16 about 12.00 GMT) it got:
    Pro's 7004,
    Con's 24,
    Not voted yet 1513.

If those who voted "against", will prove that those bugs can't be treated with hotfixes and won't take their "cons" back... we'll have to wait two weeks more till RTM.

That was my free interpretation of info from wzor.net.

of course it will be some time next week...they told us a while back it would be towards the end of the month but it makes sense to avoid it being the last week. But for you to come out and say you can't disclose the specific time means you don't know. I mean if you really would know and you say this why carry people along in a tease??

Yeah. No more watermarks, no more expiry after activating!

Actually there will still be watermark and expiration after an activation, if the activators still use RC License (its cert&tokens.dat).
The way if not only to get rid of it is either using proper Retail RTM Keys or combination of 2.1SLICs+OEM certs+OEM keys.
