Run "slui.exe 0x2a 0xBBA" activation error

    Hi, firstly thanks for helping to add SLIC to BIOS.
    I have installed VISTA Ultimate SP1, used serial 6F2D7-xxxxxxxxxxx

    Went to activate by placing the oemcert into C:\

    Then run from command: slmgr.vbs -ilc C:\oemcert.xrm-ms

    But get error "Run slui.exe 0x2a 0xBBA to display the error text. Error 0xBBA"

    I'm sure someone here has experience with this ?

    did you remove uac?

    No I left everything at default, do you mean it has to be turned off ?

    Run cmd as admin

    Ok working now thanks, got the admin priviliges, and the command:
    "slmgr.vbs -ilc C:\oemcert.xrm-ms" was wrong as certificate is: oemcert.xml and not oemcert.xrm-ms

    Beside UAC, don't forget to avoid spaces in path to your certificate file.:)

    hello

    i have simillar problem but on w7 x64 ... i disabled UAC but still doesnt work ... still show 0xBBA ...

    meybe someone can help ?

    You just run MGADiag.exe once it has done its report select copy and past the report here using code tags.

    i bought used laptop but first owner delate the recovery partition and the COA sticker its imposible to read serial nr

    i did this steps ... key was accepted but certivicate not

    i used certivicate you said and now the pop up windows was certivicate sucesfully added ... but stil shows taht 28 day left for activation ... could it be wrong serial ?
