    Hello community,
My Samsung np305e7a crashed during a bios update with the SW-Tool (Samsung's driver tool).
Since this crash, all I get is a black screen. I tried a cmos reset, but didn't help. I did read a lot about bios flashing and I wanted to proceed similar to a Phoenix BIOS Recovery.
My main Problem is, that there is no BIOS data for my Samsung, all i could find was the BIOSUpdate.exe but it seems for me that this .exe is just downloading the specific needed BIOS data for each Samsung (I opened it with 7zip but couldn't find anything).

Does anyone know how to get the .whp files i need?
The only solution i can figure out, is find somebody with the same Samsung model, download the BIOSUpdate.exe on this Laptop, start it but don't run it through and get the image I need from the Temp-folder.

    thanks in advance

    UPDATE 5.may.2015
I did check the HDD of my Samsung in order to find something in the TEMP-folder. Instead of .rom files i got this log-data:

Does this mean that the file I'd need to flash my Samsung is 05QU.rom ? Or are there more informations in this log ?
Seems for like there wasn't problems which could brick the BIOS, is that right?

    thanks, Leon

I did try that, but it's not working. I downloaded 2 files from samsung. 03QU and 05QU, i was unable to extract the rom from 03QU so i am working with the 05QU.rom which I renamed to AMIBOOT.ROM.
I use a 1gb usb and tried in FAT and FAT32. Still its not working, anyone has some ideas? The LED from my USB drive lights up some times but after 10sec it stops.

    thanks

    Thanks for the rom!
I tried it with different names (03QU.ROM, AMIBOOT.ROM, AMIFLASH.ROM) but no results. i don't have a Home Button on my keyboard, so it's POS1, isn't it? I tried also FN+Back with Ctrl.
I don't even hear beeps. It seems to depends on which Combinations I press if the LED from my Usb-Flash blinks or not. But anyway, the Laptop keeps blackscreening (if that's a real word).
    thanks for your help

I tried it but wasn't working, the Keyboard's Leds were not flashing.I burned the 03qu.rom and amiboot.rom (based on 03qu) and 05qu.rom on a cd-rom but this wasn't working neither.

Hello, I was being busy last weeks but still I have no ideas how to fix my bricked bios..
Seems like the HOME Key is named POS1 in german keyboards - idk if it's a different scancode.
I was reading my log file from the bios updater again and noticed this "BIOS Vendor = BIOS_VENDOR_AMI_EFI" -
does EFI means that my bios has to be handled in a different way?

My last idea is to get an external Floppy disk drive and do the same procedure I was trying with an USB Drive.

    thanks for your help

    I am sorry, i don't think I understood all.
So you want me to buy a programmable usb flash -
and then make a backup copy of which chip?
    thanks for your time!

Look in the post "[GUIDE] N56VZ bios replacement with CH341A ISP programmer" in the bios section.
