    this is a good drive for storage, i've had one for a while now and i've had no problems... LOW HEAT, DEAD QUIET

    just thought i'd try to help someone out if they're in the market for one

    Its an old model thats why its so cheap :) it has been replaced by the F3EG. The F3EG actually has some very good performance results, its actually faster than many mainstream drives from other companies!

    When I think 1TB I think storage, not performance. I guess my question would be, is it a dependable drive. I'll go read some reviews, could use a second TB drive or might grab 4 for a server.

    The Samsung drives are reliable, they're my HDD of choice. The HD103SJ is great for a system drive, but for drives that you just have media on the Samsung ecogreen's are fine. They're optimised for power saving, not performance.
