Sorry if this is the wrong place but I wasn't sure where else to post. I got the Samsung R40 modded BIOS from here and followed the instructions to flash the BIOS which worked perfectly. I checked the original bios against the modded one and I have the correct one as they match. (The original was with the modded one) When I reboot the machine now to do a rebuild the laptop powers off. Its not all at the same time sometimes longer sometimes shorter but it reboots. If I boot to dos using usb it does the same things, sometimes after a minute it will reboot, sometimes after 10. I can try to reboot several times and it won't boot at all, but once windows xp has booted the laptop is fine and will work without issue for as long as I leave it switched on. It only seems to switch off when in dos or trying to rebuild or on start up before windows starts i.e. When accessing the bios. I have used the windows program to flash bios with the original firmware but the issue still continues. Has anyone got any idea what can cause this.
