SATA to USB (internal) = USB bootable as OS in Laptop ?

    Hi there,

    if I would attach an SATA to USB adapter to the internal SATA port of a Laptop, to Stick a bootable USB Thumb Drive with a bootable Linux (portable Knoppix) on it...might the BIOS be complaining ? Or would this work out of the box ?

    Still searching for fitting adapters and cables, as I cant find a simple "Male SATA to Female USB" cable...like, the following...of course not sending 12v to my 5v USB Thumb Drive...

    That should work fine... if you can find small enough converter bridge board (what you show above is impossible!)
    But you likely not going to have enough space in case to fit it in
