Satellite l750 dead: Which bios chip?!

    hi to all, i've a satellite l750 completely dead after a bios flash

    i dismantled the motherboard: this motherboard has two chip very similar a w25x40bv and a 25q32bvs1g

    but i've seen that i've done a big mistake

    i've reprogrammed the w25x40: it says "eeprom"!! but the other chip is "spi flash"

    so what's the correct chip?!

    the w25x40 is a Winbond 4M-BIT spiflash
    try a search for the bios recovery for your model

    maybe you're wrong

    w25q32 is 4M-bit

    w25x40 is 512kb

    so i've flashed the 25x40 and i've not a dump :'(

    If I am wrong windbond made a big error in there data sheet.
    if you can not find a bios recovery procedure then you will need to manually flash the chip with the right file.

    –W25Q32B:32M-bit /4M-byte
    –W25X40: 4M-bit / 512K-byte
    you are confused on the difference in     M-bit and M-byte

    IT IS A     "spiflash" NOT A "eeprom"
