Hello I'm trying to install Windows 10 Build #10074 on a HP Pavilion DV2-1130EB laptop. It comes with an AMD Athlon Neo X2 (x64) and uses the SB6xx SATA controller. The ISO has no driver for this chipset and unfortunately the drivers (Windows 8.1 x64) packed with AMD Catalyst 14.12 (Omega) don't work as no hard disk drive is detected after pointing to location with the .inf and .cat files. I'm wondering if there is someone else here with this SATA controller and managed to install the OS. Thank you.
That's an old Vista Machine and HP maybe didn't has any driver for that anymore!! Try via the SATA Controller Manufacturer and/or Driver Guide to get the latest available driver! You could also try to 'upgrade' to Windows 8.1 first and than to W10 10122/25. That maybe would work!
