Can you please explain how you fixed it? I flashed my Dell Studio 1537 running A11 bios with a modified one and now the laptop is bricked.

How I recovered Dell Studio 1537 with corrupted A11 bios.
found a wincrisis.1.0.0.4.zip for dl, extracted it to wincrisis.1.0.0.4 folder.
extracted flashabl.rom from Dell Studio 1537 System BIOS, A11 BIOS 03 Nov 2011\R302071\1537_A11
    copied flashabl.rom as bios.wph to wincrisis.1.0.0.4 folder
Because this was done on a W7 I booted Hiren 15.2 XP instead to run the wincris.exe with a 128Mb USB drive plugged in.
Run wincris.exe and prep the 128Mb USB drive. After reinserting the USB drive it contains BIOS.WPH, PHLASH16.EXE and MINIDOS.SYS (HxD displays Phoenix Phlash16 Utility Version 1.6.9.5 about this PHLASH16.EXE)
Move the USB drive to the Dell Studio 1537 with battery removed, DC cable removed.
Plug in DC cable while holding END for 10 sec > nothing happens. except for the led above the DC inlet lighting up once for less than 0.5 sec.
Press power button while holding END for 10 sec, fan starts running, wait 15 minutes, pressing power switch has NO effect.
Switch off AC input to the AC adapter > fan stops.
Switch on AC input an press power button of laptop > laptop boots again.

Conclusion, most success stories are different, and I hope this scenario will help eventually.
Also note that when powering on the bricked laptop all media leds lit up in sequence from left to right, followed by the HDD led lighting up once, or with interval of about 40 sec.
