I'm hoping to get some assistance. I have a Sony VAIO PCG-TR2A Laptop, and I can't mod it.

At first, I just downloaded the BIOS file from Sony's website and used andyp's tool to mod it. It wouldn't accept it because the versions were the same

Not giving up, I risked flashing a BIOS file from a similar laptop that had a different version number. This worked, but I still didn't have a SLIC table.

I then tried to flash the first file I'd modded. Instead of complaining about the versions being different, I got "error 149", and it told me that the file was probably corrupt.

I then flashed the original BIOS file again, and it worked fine.

After toying around with other similar systems' BIOS files, I came to the conclusion that WinPhlash will only flash the original versions. If I try to flash a modded one, I get the dreaded "error 149".

    Any ideas?

I'm uploading everything I've been working with to the following mirrors:

Did you untick Flash only if BIOS is different and Flash only if BIOS is newer than system?
