I have installed Windows 8 Enterprise on that date when WZT released it & activated it by the first KMS server. Today I was making a portable edition of AIDA64 & accidentally discovered a second serial under Software -> Licenses -> Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.10.9200.16384. It is different from the serial of the Windows itself whereas for previous editions of Windows, IE has the same serial of the OS.

    Code:
    Product Key : XXXXX-FNPQD-WR76V-FBYR7-PDG4W
    Validity : Valid
    Product ID : 10005-40010-00023-AA851
    Activation ID : 23505d51-32d6-41f0-8ca7-e78ad0f16e71
    Edition Type : Starter
Description : Win Next Starter Retail
    Edition ID : X17-37458
    Key Type : Retail
    Crypto ID : 100054

Interestingly, if I use CODY's toolkit -> Windows -> Product Keys -> Show registry, none but the default GVLK is detected.

In Windows XP/Vista/7/8 - Internet Explorer has a serial of its own. ;)

AFAIK, no. Just checked XP Pro, Vista Business, 7 Pro - IE uses serial of the OS.

No no.. IE always has its separate serial. But its same as the serial of the OS itself. But in case of 8, IE & the OS itself use different serials.

Tito check license report, run cmd and enter
    Code:
    Licensingdiag.exe -report %userprofile%\desktop\report.txt -log %userprofile%\desktop\repfiles.cab
Does that key show in the reportl?

    New finding :hug2:

If one has KMS activated Pro & he/she upgrades to ProWMC, then OS serial is changed to WMC serial but IE serial remains the previous KMS one.
