I am using a Sony Vaio 64 bit laptop running on Windows 7 Home Basic.

I plan to upgrade it to Windows 8. I ran the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant. It says that though my laptop supports Windows 8, Secure Boot is not compatible with my PC.

Can I go ahead and install Windows 8? What will happen without Secure Boot?
