Hey guys I use MSE as an AV and I noticed that there is a new version available (1.0.1959).

I have version 1.0.1611.0 but when I try to Upgrade MSE it says there is no new version.

    Why is this happening?

There is no need to Uninstall old version prior to install new, works fine the manual upgrade. Tested on Windows 7 64 Home premium OEM.

    Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and to MSE, I downloaded it tonight for legit Vista Ultimate. My question is this: Where do you find the version number? I can't see anything but latest definition numbers. Thanks.

Hover mouse over the install package icon. You'll see the file version there.

64 bit let me upgrade. 32 bit refused to install because it said I already had it installed (I did but it was the older build). I had to uninstall the 32 bit version first and reinstall new build.
