Hi, I believe I applied a MS update, shouldnt have I know...But now my MS Security Essentials is telling me Windows did not pass genuine validation. I originally used the Windows Loader v1.7.9 which was all good. Any help would be appreciated to get this resolved, thanks Steve
from the loader readme: Do you have the WAT update installed, KB971033? If yes you may have got flagged as non-genuine, in order to become genuine again just do the following. * Launch the loader application and select to uninstall * Restart the PC * Install the loader and restart the PC * Visit the following website to revalidate Windows: microsoft dot com slash genuine Might as well install the latest version of the loader after you remove the old one. Good luck.
Ok. I did have the WAT update... I then ran the loader, it installed, after it rebooted i went to the website to check if the OS is genuine and it came back as not genuine...
actually when you re-install the loader it should re-install the cert for you. Anyway, try this, it worked for me once when I went non-genuine: go to start run and hold ctrl + shift and hit enter then type slmgr -ReArm and reboot, and see if you are activated and genuine.
I type that and it keeps telling me slmgr is not recognized as an internal or external command. I am using cmd as administrator.

Dude, you need to uninstall the loader, restart, then install the latest version of the loader then try the validation. If that fails, then uninstall KB971033 from the windows updates and hide it. This is why I use the BIOS mod activation method, this is permanant I never get this crap anymore

See my signature and read post #2 of the thread. You must fully uninstall all other activation solutions before using the loader.
XP and 7 are two whole different OS's with their own unique way of being cracked and/or patched so its not as easy as you think
I have Win XP with pirated key and i use now microsoft security essentials validated the last version , is simple to crack the microsoft antivirus for help, send me an pm.
