Hello there, Is there any Security Suite compatible with Win 7 x64? I just found (maybe unknown) a suite named Bullguard which was x64 native for win 7. Any other option? thnx
I'm using Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 Windows 7 Technical Preview and like it. It has a built-in firewall.
Wow seriously guys? everybody should know that ESET is the best antivirus out there especially with MiNODlogin.
Symantec Endpoint Protection, of course. Works on 7 but not officially supported yet. Supported version is expected in September.
As my first post, I'm gonna go with Kaspersky Internet Security 2010! I've been a fan of Kaspersky for as long as I can remember. Not the most user friendly, but fantastic software. And that's my two cents.
Hi, I'm using Kaspersky Antivirus 9.0.0.463 (AKA KAV 2010) on 7 x64. My wife is using Avira on 7 x86. Best AVs are Kaspersky, Nod32, BitDefender. Forget about Norton, it's pure sh***. Avast can let some viruses install on your system. I've seen it on some of my customers PC. ++
Eset nod32 64bit version and Anti-malware are the best combination . Get those software, you should be safe
Guys, I know these suites, but apart Eset x64 that some recommended and Bullguard that I found, the others like norton or kaspersky have a x86 engine.I hoped that there were other security suites x64 for our win 7 apart of these two. I have Avira Premium x86 on my win 7 and I am thinking for a x64 alternative. I will look at eset x64 version.
a very good antivirus program is from microsoft named "microsoft security essentials"... its gives in x86 or x64 version and it is very reliably... on my computer runs the windows-firewall and the antivirus-guard of microsoft security essentials x64... i can say that i'm very very contently...
^^ AV-Comparatives is pretty damn thorough with their testing - indifferent to vendors Eset, Avira, and Kaspersky is always in the top 5 in all their testing for the past year or so. Last year it was Avira on top This year, Kaspersky and Eset battling it out. Avira still best hit rate but got dinged with a few more false positives than the other 2. Can't go wrong with either 3. I personally use Avira because I am a reseller and get year subscriptions for about 10-12 bucks. Plus Avira proggy cracks get caught by Avira faster than Eset and Kaspersky. Mfk
