I have been casually bios modding for several years and although I am very experienced when it comes to computers I would still say I am a novice with the inner workings of the BIOS mods. I am quite confident with using Phoenix/AMI/Award tools for inserting Slic 2.1 codes and flashing bios but thats about it. Recently I have come across an issue with adding a SLIC 2.1 to my bios for an Asus H61M-A-USB3. I am using Phoenix Tool 2.5 with an Asus Slic2.1 The Slic seems to add fine but just won't flash. Asus EZFlash says "Security validation failed" on all versions of the Slic'd bios I have made using various settings. The original BIOS is accepted although I haven't actually flashed it - this suggests to me that both the original BIOS and USB drive are fine. What else can I try? Any settings to get it working with EZFlash? My mobo doesn't have USB flashback so not an option. Any DOS options with these new UEFI AMI bios? Would it be safe if EZFlash is rejecting the bios?
