I have a Vista Ultimate x64 DVD I burned from the Microsoft ISO : "en_windows_vista_ultimate_with_service_pack_1_checked_build_x64_dvd_71940.iso"

I installed this on a Dell Optiplex GX620 and it took forever. Then I tried to use VistaLoader 3.0.0.1 to install grub and a Dell BIOS/OEM key so it could be registered.

The Product ID: 89587-OEM-7332132-00141 didn't want to activate with Microsoft too well after a reboot.

Would anyone mind explaining what I might have to go through to get this activated on a GX620? I'm trying to get up to date on the terminology/slang used in this forum.

    Thanks!

I installed Vista Ultimate 64bit, and then Vista Loader 3.0.0.1 which registered the system with that serial number.

My question is how would I go about installing and registering Vista Ultimate 64 on Dell GX620 computer?
