    And the answer is?

because the slp string for WinXP is:

    'Hewlett-Packard'

WITH single Quotes. This works fine for me on several Machines.

    The answer : Hewlett-Packard

slp string for WinXP is: 'Hewlett-Packard' WITHOUT single Quotes
slp string for 2003 is: 'Hewlett-Packard' WITHOUT single Quotes

The verification code verifies Hewlett-Packard only, no matter what strings are before it or after it, so it's plausible that it works with or without single quotes.

    Need Help with Server Setup

    What happend:
    1) I modded my Bios - SLP 'Hewlett-Packard'
    2) started Setup WinXP with HP OEMBios files. Succesfully activated :)
    3) I copied my ServerCD to Disc on the same PC
    4) Downloaded HP2K3SP2OEM.rar, unrared it and put all files into the copied ServerCD on my HardDisc, into i386 Folder, overwriting existing files.
    5) Burn to Disc
    6) Now I started setup. CD boots, and setup coppied the files, all seems fine.
BUT after next Boot setup stops with fatal Error:
Signature of windows Setup is invalid.
    Errorcode 57.
    Wrong Parameter.
    Setup aborted.

After this do it all again, burned a new CD. Same End
Now I try Setup from Harddisc. Same End
I tried another PC. Same end

I Verified my ServerCDs (OEM/Retail) Tried with and without R2 version
At last I tried my Server VOLUME Lic. CDs with SP2 integrated. Same End.

SLP mod 'Hewlett-Packard' was successfull, because WinXP is fully activated on both PCs

Anyone knows what do do? Need help and input :)

    thx in advance!

What version of Server were you using the files for? They, and the HP key inside Winnt.sif, were for Standard Edition originally.

If used to replace Retail or VLK Standard edition, only the HP SLP key, OEMBIOS files, and SETUPP.INI need to be used. The rest of the files were gave for testing with the new Home Server Oem in which i have tested to activate. I also double checked the CRC's of the OEMBIOS files, as i also have Dell Server OEM set, which are:

The other files, except for SETUPP.INI & WINNT.SIF, are SP2 files from an original Standard Edition Server 2K3

    thx for answer.

    Ok, I try it.

    Done!:

OOBEINFO.IN_ is needed. I edit my own WinXp file and give it a try. HP SRV OEM is now installed and activated.
    I Used the following files:

    oembios.bi_
    oembios.ca_
    oembios.da_
    oembios.si_
    OOBEINFO.IN_
    Setupp.ini
    winnt.sif

Burned to disc and so it worked for me.

Another question: If I tried to install the second CD of my Server 2003 SP2 R2 OEM, I was asked for a serial. All my (VLK) Serials won't work anymore with my New HP OEM SERVER.

    Any Solution?

    Thx in advance

Because you cant use both OEM and VLK at the same time. R2 addon may be only for volume (VLK) customers as well, but i'm not sure. Or, it may require a R2 OEM key.

Something else you may try as well. The AntiWPA site has a app (XPLicChanger) to change OEM to VLK or VLK to OEM with help of some Windows files you provide off your disks yourself. You might be able to change it back to VLK, install RC2 disk, and then switch back to OEM.

I also have a Server 2003 Dell OEMBIOS set as well along with SLP Dell key for both Standard and Enterprise editions i will upload here tomorrow.

Hi SS , would you mind uploading the PIDGEN.DLL and DPCDLL.DL_ from your "Windows 2003 OEM HP cd". I would like to try Yen's method of making a oem cd .

"Those files are included from the original upload link."

It's also valid for HP ENT, verified by me for both STD & ENT.
