sorry, newbie here... I've been reading the whole thread but still don't know how to import the certificate. I do have Server 2008 installed and I just want to import the dell certificate so I don't need to do the whole installation again. Is it possible?
I apologize. I wanted to ask for help, because I didn't understand what was going on. It was a legitimate post, but I could not post because of a 5 post limitation, which I assume is there for spammers. I am not a spammer. I meant no offense to anyone. The keys I posted are all over the Internet, so I assumed they were pretty well known. I had no idea the KMS key was actually published by MSFT. Again if I broke any rules I am very sorry. These boards are an invaluable resource and the last thing I want to do is piss anyone off. It seems no matter how much time I spend searching / researching an issue, once I post a long forum thread about it, I find the answer right away afterwards. The issue was UEFI related. I was able to permanently activate using the OEM key by following the instructions below (post 599): https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windslic-uefi-slic-injector.29740/page-30#post-862582 I did this to clear keys: slmgr.vbs -cpky slmgr.vbs -upk Then I followed steps 1 - 20. I used the OEM key posted around on the Internet. It worked! Some notes: Some links return "not found" errors, but that's due to forum changes; the posts aren't deleted. Step 3 correct link is https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/oa-2-x-slic-oemcert-collection.5952/page-53#post-514521 Step 7 correct link is https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-7-oem-slp-key-collection.10370/, but again I used the Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter OEM key.
Hi, newbie here I have a windows server 2012 R2 standard installed that I want to activate with kye. This thread looks like very old. will the keys provided here still work?
These are OEM:SLP keys. They will not work as standalone, and they are not used for online activation. If you are on BIOS with an MBR boot partition, Windows Loader can help you. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-loader-download.58464/ On UEFI systems, a BIOS mod is in order. Alternatively, using KMS: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/kms_vl_all-smart-activation-script.79535/
