Just built a 2008 Enterprise X86 VM with VMWare Fusion and it's activated after I entered the proper Enterprise key. My install was with no key initially and not OEM. I ran the activator first to install the Dell OEM certs and the bootloader, rebooted and then added the key to activate.
Isn't it better/easier to just mod the BIOS to get the SLIC inserted? The tools to do it are just amazing And then just SLP activate with certificate sebus
I guess both methods work, I just choose the loader because I don't want to have any issues modding the bios which could cause permanent damage whereas the safer bet is the loader because all you need to do to remove it is simply run the loader's uninstaller no harm done.
Exactly the same when the BIOS already has SLIC by default (like all 4 of my machines....) Did you check that you do not have one? Again, you use what you feel comfortable with...., there is no single way, but the loader will probably get deactivated by some future update sebus
How do you remove should you...? If I apply this bootloader and then want to try a different one, then how would I remove this one found in vip-wss2k8a.rar? There doesn't seem to be an uninstall. Thanks.

Hi, I'm quite new in this forum, and I have read now for a few hours many many interesting posts regarding installing Windows server 2008. Unfortunately, there are so many posts that I don't find which could help me. I have a Dell Poweredge Server 6650 on which I have installed Windows server 2003 Enterprise. I would like to install Window server 2008 enterprise. By checking the bios, I found that I don't have any SLIC. Could it be possible to install Win 2008 oem or something else? and how? Thanks
