vartaxe: The second one (4098MB) is what you will find for download in VLSC based on what you have purchased. That said, you can install either Retail, OEM or VL media using the generic (GVLK) key and insert your MAK later when it's made available to you. As for Exchange, download the latest service pack and install it (Exchange service packs, releases, whatever they are calling them now are full media and can be used for initial install). You can activate with your key later.

what are the best hyperv 2012 r2 practices? should i leave the vm host and vm hdd as default on C:\ or perhaps move the vm hdd to d:\ or even move both the vm host and vm hdd to D:\ also if my d:\ has 1TB free space can i create a 2TB vhdx? or isn't it recomended?
