MRP Log & 20287 Desktop: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...l-project-mrp-mk3.71555/page-345#post-1642512
Wow! I just noticed that the Server 2022 logo already appears in the build! Then it will be Enterprise LTSC 2022 surely
Should this imply that Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 1809 is the last desktop version of LTSC ever released?
Yes, but this would mean a disconnect of the Desktop LTSC from the Server LTSC which is not natural. Not arguing with your findings which I am certain that are accurate, just debating this issue of interest especially for people using LTSC versions. As it is now, the server 20287 is designated as 21H1, while the other branch currently in development 21xxx is 21H2, unless I misunderstand it or Microsoft messed up again, which I find unlikely (although not impossible) in this case.
@ch100 That would be good thing actually but i doubt they will brand next Server as 2022 to be released on first half of 2021 2016, 2019 belong to second half (1607, 1809)
I can elaborate a bit more about the relevance of the Desktop LTSC and Server LTSC versions being in sync. This is a subject less discussed on MDL but because this is a server thread, it has a place here. At the enterprise level, traditionally Remote Desktop or Citrix implementations would emulate the equivalent desktop in a multi-user environment. If the versions of the LTSC are disconnected, then this traditional approach loses some relevance. However, a disconnect or even entirely discontinuing the LTSC branch for desktops - Windows 10 - might be Microsoft's intention. Let's not forget that they have now Windows 10 Enterprise for Virtual Desktops which is intended to take the place either partially or entirely to the more traditional multi-user Remote Desktop solutions based on the server version. In few months time, it will all become more clear (hopefully).
