i Recently bought a dell server for testing purpose. It did not come with an OS of its own. I went ahead and Download Win 2008 server from Piratebay. After the whole thing is done i am trying to activate it using DAZ loader it says its done and should restart but after restarting aswell the status shows Not activated. I have entered any key or anything. DAZ loader identifies it as Dell which is Correct but doesnt activate. When i right click My Computer and go to properties i see 3 Days until autoamtic activation. Activate Windows Now. Product ID : 00477-OEM-8400101-10502 I ran the OEM Bios tool under dos and it gave me this info FELL SYSTEM OEMBIOS.CAT CRC=63875D1F FELL SYSTEM OEMBISO.CAT CRC=B6F0EEFB My Bios Number is 1.0.5 and i cant see any SLP under Bios. I looked in the thread forums.mydigitallife . info/threads/3486-How-do-OEMs-like-Dell-license-their-machinesall-about-asset-tags and did the asset thing both 31 and 34, it says manufacturing mode but after rebooting again it says its not activated. What do i do now? how do i go about activating the windows 2008 server R2. any help will be appreciated.

What, you really can not see the mismatch? Likely that the server already has SLIC 2.1 in BIOS (did you check BEFORE trying loader?) What server is it? sebus
sorry i am new to all this. Mismatch? are you talking about where it says invalid in the screenshot? after installing the server it just kept showing Not activated. its a dell poweredge Rackmounted server. Model is R410.
