This thread is about sharing experiences about how to perform directly or indirectly a transition from an installed Windows Server to a target SKU/personality of a Workstation/client edition and vice-versa.

A indirect transition could be a switch of family (server<->client) followed by an in-place upgrade.

Some transition could lead to ghost editions.

Windows NT 4.0 Workstation / Server
    Windows 2000 Workstation / Server
    Windows XP
    Windows Server 2003
Windows Vista / Windows Server 2008
    Windows 7 / Windows Server 2008 R2
    Windows 8.0 / Windows Server 2012
    Windows 8.1 / Windows Server 2012 R2
    ….

    Tools/Methods :
    - NNN4NT5
    - TweakNT
    - SKUwitch method https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...st-install-settings.84501/page-7#post-1714633

To start with, I guess it is easy to consider only transition in the same architecture (x86, x64, arm, …).
