I'm always tweaking and playing with various service functions. How com when some are set from automatic to manual and you copy the exe file it points to for a shortcut, then try to start the service it doesn't? Some will start and others wont, what am I missing? Do some need to start from cmd line or ?? Just trying to learn; and I have allot of catching up to do. Edit- yes I have checked dependencies.
I do use Black Vipers site. I use autoruns, and I am careful about not having services I want to run on demand disabled by another program. If you create a shortcut to the service exe it should start. Some will, while others have to be started from the services control panel. I'll have a look at the program you linked to...never know what'll be handy.
