Setting up a Windows 7 KMS Server with Windows Server 2003?

    Of course you need you said it yourself - a non-over-used CSVLK key for Win7 or Server 2008 R2 to activate KMS on-line if you want to make it working. If you installed KMS on Server 2003, then just like with Win7Ent/Server2008R2 install the key with slmgr.vbs -ipk and activate it with -ato, the only other option is to try phone. Key from Server 2003 has nothing to do with KMS, which needs separate activation on this OS.

    OK! I understand that.
    Is there any way of preserving the activation, during motherboard migration?
    Since the VMWare image is already activated, how to preserve the activation in VirtualBox?
    Where that info is stored? In tokens, registry?
