I am having trouble installing from setup.exe under Windows 8.1 Enterprise Update. After 7%, I got the message:

Windows Technical Preview installation has failed

Anyone has the SHA1 for this iso?

What I think is the basic difference is the Enterprise should be for those testing for organizations. That has to come with testing for things which have to do mainly with networking, cloud, automation, migration and you name it. While the Core is just for routine work with minimum interfaces. So, expect the Enterprise to be buggy at this time around more than the Core.

I agree, I am putting together a system for the office as I type this (well its doing its automagic thing atm lol), I want the users to play around with it and give me their feedback on its current state. They had a lot of trouble with 8.x coming from XP and a few from 7. Maneuvering around in the 8.x was at best a challenge for them. Click move repeat for years and then pop slide bing bang boom all of a sudden wasn't something they could just do lol.

I've got them all on 7 now, a couple 8x. I think 10 will be a better option later down the road if it keeps its current focus on its move forward.

Enterprise is buggy to the point where I can't even install it properly? Wow, that's buggy!

So, what is actually the difference between 9841.0.140912-1613.FBL_RELEASE_CLIENTENTERPRISE_VOL_X64FRE_EN-US.ISO and EN_WINDOWS_TECHNICAL_PREVIEW_FOR_ENTERPRISE_X64_DVD_5554079.ISO

I didn't get your question correctly. Why don't you try the Core if you aren't going to test for any organization? That should be the best alternative, I guess.

Thats user error or machine incompatibility somewhere. Enterprise installs on everything Ive tried so far without a problem. Upgrades, bare metal and VM.

aside from HASH, I am guessing SKU, same size same thing same key in the pid.txt. Would need to dig to find a difference.
