Sharing media on a network using Windows Media Player on Server 2008 R2

    How to Share media on a network using Windows Media Player for Server 2008 R2?

    Not use Windows Media Services (this product shares only radio streams)

    In Local Services page and also these Files are missing in "Program FilesWindows Media Player" folder:

    wmpnetwk.exe
    wmpnscfg.exe
    wmpnssci.dll

    And also a file missing from "WindowsSystem32"

    wmpmde.dll

    Please help :worthy:

    create a share that is accessible from all windows PC's.

    The share contains all music end/or video files.

    open media player on any computer in youre network and add the share (\\youreserver\youremediashare) to the media library.

    Repeat this on any computer/user to build up the library.

    You can also make 1 central library, but I have no experiences with this solution.
