Shortcuts to Excel Files Disappear from Desktop Desktop - Very Weird

    This is very weird and odd. I use multiple HDDs as I use multiple OS on my Desktop. When I installed W10TP on one of them I copied some of the excel shortcuts to my desktop from W8.1 desktop. I forgot to change the drive name in the shortcuts. Yesterday I noticed all but one of the shortcuts to excel files were missing from desktop. So I copied them again. After 8-9 hours, just now I noticed they are gone again! I didn't delete them and also my AV did not mark them bad. I have no idea what happened.

    The only clue I have is the one is not missing is the one I use most. And its drive letter was automatically fixed which is a default feature of windows. All the other ones i never used after installing W10TP.


    This is very weird. Very very weird. Does anyone have any idea what may cause this?
