I'm on Windows 10 and want to upgrade to 11. My BIOS actually supports TPM (I pass all installation requirements), but I don't know if it's a good idea to allow Windows to upgrade with TPM enabled or not. I thought TPM was supposed to be a piracy protection for Microsoft/Windows? Should I disable TPM or is it fine to upgrade with TPM activated?

Its definitly not a piracy protection. You decide if you want to run it or not

How much has already been said about TPM
In short, TPM is simply your vehicle's Identifier, to identify you where you are.
So that 38 US security services know your address where to go to take you into custody and send you to places of detention in the private prisons of the owner of Kentucky Fried Chicken

If you have any doubts, just find the TPM Datasheet and you will be shocked, especially since it is embedded in the TPM!!!

    PS:
    I turned 80 on December 6th
    I thought I wouldn't live to see it :)
