Simple and easy 8.0 Pro to 8.1 Pro upgrade

    Could someone please advise a simplest way to upgrade from 8 to 8.1 for a newbie? Thanks.

    Open the Windows Store and use the upgrade option that appears.

    ah...I forgot to mention that mine is an installation using KMS pre-activation, and there is no 8.1 upgrade on the store....o_O

    so you will have to download your version and install. Activation will get lost

    Like Paul said, download your version of Windblows install then use KMSpico ;)

    I had no issues in updating to Windows 8.1, Luckily.

    upgrading to 8.1 is easy. just go to the store and the update will just flash on the screen

    please read colins' comment: he is on VL and so is doesn't get the upgrade through store :smokecowboy:

    Just a quick follow-up after 6 month....is there a new and simplest method to upgrade to 8.1 from 8.0 VL?

    Is there a way to do Retail OEM upgrade directly?

    Have a laptop that does only wireless & no matter how many times I tried it did not work (always errors out, all solutions point to wireless being the transport ). Works on wire (tried few times as well), but would need to get converter.

    Direct download maybe?

    If you have Retail OEM, you should be able to upgrade via store.
