Greetings I have an asus p5k Deluxe w/wifi and the latest bios 1005 installed. However I can't get my new ssd drive to work and through scouring the internet (inclusing the OCZ forums) I come to believe that I need a newer option rom. The 1005 has 7.5.0.1017 and I've heard that 8.9.0.1023 will resolve my issue. I should note that I am currently running in RAID (not AHCI) with 6 drives paired in raid1. So I have been playing around with mmtool (v3.19) and it seems straight forward. Grabbed bios 2003 from the asus P7P55D (has 8.9.0.1023) extracted the PCI Option ROM from 8086:2822 loaded my bios (p5k deluxe 1005) into mmtool replaced 8086:2822 with the extracted option rom saved the bios Is it really that straight forward ? IF! that doesn't work (doesn't load or loads and won't boot) will I be able to load my original bios ?
