wtarkan, thank's for the tip to boot from iso images. I knew that it can add VHD images to boot menu, but did't knew about add ISO images. That's a really useful feature for sure.
NO, it does not work with restricted accounts, it needs admin privileges to even start (which is obvious, as it deals with Disk Management, BCD etc - nothing that user should have access to) sebus
Vhdattach works exactly the same as VHd manager ???? We will check it again , thanks for the comments
Not exactly the same but do the intended job at the end, auto mount a VHD image. The basic difference is that vhdattach can create vhd files, but can't add to boot menu. It also create a context menu entry, very useful in windows 7, but useless for windows 8 and 10 that can handle VHD images natively. VHDAttach create a windows service that mount VHD images, that's why it works under users account without admin privileges. It would be nice if Simple VHD manager can do the same, without the need of a third part tool like runastool
Thanks for your comment , Simple VHD manager creates a windows service too because of that I have said they must work exactly the same , it is time to check our codes and fix some bugs

Tried the latest and greatest version, and I must say I'm impressed with the dedication the developers put in this little software. It works flawlessly, used it to mount a VHDX at login and use it for file history in windows 10. No matter if it's a restricted account, once configured under an admin account it simple works.
??? Does that option create service? Is the service then responsible for all & any actions (or just the very specific one? - attach vhd? to system at boot) sebus
