Skip metro suite is awesome! Lets me get rid of the ghastly charms bar and hot corners and still keep the win+x menu. Great work!

mmmmmm, BypassMetro, mmm... :/
...the guy stated in his howto, that he did the goal by only changing system policy settings, so there will be no service at startup probably...
...but his change affects licensing component certainly, so when you uninstal his BypassMetro with MAK or Retail, you are unactivated again... :/

 

Uninstall means your state of license will be keept but it's a permanently uninstalled than.
Restore means if your're activated and become not activated after the install. You still can go back to the state it was before.

I did a groupbox around the 2 settings with 'experimental' but they are actually tested well.
I know it's not very cool to may lose the activation state (atm) but that's the deal.

I was not aware of this, I only knew about "ExperienceEnabled"=0 registry key, which switches on direct boot to desktop on the Windows Server (but then two icons are missing in Charm as well as PC Settings item - just as in the case when Windows Experiance isn't installed).

I just used process monitor on your tool and I was suprised. It looks promising, but I have one VM configuration, where it does nothing.
EDIT: It does the job, but it started working after three restarts.

If you used procmon, you easily can see that i'm not a programmer ^^.
I changed the routine a little in the exe compared to the original script, therefore it works only after (normaly!) 2 restarts.
Forcing to work within the 1 restart is implemented but not available. - It took 2-3min on a VM, so I decided to cut that part out.
