how do you rebuild the rom after you switch the acpi5.rom? I don't have the option to Build Bios (it is grey out) in PBE. thanks
Modify anything in the string section then revert back to the original string. Build BIOS should be highlighted now.
I usually go to DMI and adjust one of the manufacturer strings. If you dont want it different, change it back..then build.. Be careful with the PBE..This one seems not as bad as the other ones...
congrats dude, i just can't get it... i've unbricked my desktop 3 times now trying this.... i think i just need to sit back and pray someone releases my bios ThinkCentre M57 ;-)
After rebuild I did not get any Warning/Error. If I would, there is no way that I would flash that BIOS into my notebook's mobo No Acer 2.1 certificates has been leaked as of yet. We have to wait...
Your quite lucky, when I use PBE on my phoenix bios and examine the temp folder, the file (acpio3.rom) containing the slic 2.0 is 2.34kb in size, so I have no clue how to proceede from there.
